South Korea took delivery today of another 400-thousand doses of the Janssen vaccine made by Johnson and Johnson, the second batch of that vaccine given to Korea by the United States.
Starting later this month, these doses will be given mostly to maritime crew, civilians in prisons and people in nursing homes.
The Janssen vaccine, unlike the others, can be administered in a single dose.
President Biden had promised to give South Korea enough doses for its military, numbering more than half a million, but it’s sent more than double that.
