South Korea’s state-run power company KEPCO is going to keep electricity rates where they are for the next three months to help people reduce their expenses in the pandemic and as they deal with rising consumer inflation.
That means KEPCO will not be using the flexible rate system it adopted recently that allows it to change its rates every quarter.
Fuel prices have been rising around the world, though.
So KEPCO says it may have to raise its rates in the third quarter.
