South Korea has reported another suspected case of highly pathogenic avian influenza at an egg farm outside Seoul.
The Central Disaster Management Headquarters says a H5-type AI antigen was detected during an inspection of the farm in Cheonan, Chungcheongnam-do Province.
A thorough examination is underway, and a lab will reveal whether the case is highly pathogenic or not in one to three days.
Authorities have banned entry to the farm.
They’ve also implemented preemptive quarantine measures, such as mobility restrictions on farms within a ten-kilometer radius.
