S. Korea demands N. Korea carry out additional probe into killing of S. Korean national

South Korea’s presidential office says it will demand North Korea carry out an additional investigation into the fatal shooting of the South Korean government worker.
This was decided at a National Security Council meeting late Friday.
The top office added that Seoul would also request a joint probe if necessary.
This comes as there are differences in North Korea’s account of the incident, and the intelligence gathered by South Korea especially in regards to what happened to the dead man’s body.
South Korea’s military said that the North had burned his body, while Pyeongyang claims the body wasn’t there after the multiple shootings.
The top office said Seoul will also continue the investigation to reveal the exact truth, and vowed to step up surveillance posture to prevent a recurrence of such incidents.
