Amid the ongoing walk-out by South Korean medical practitioners, doctors have reportedly reached an agreement among themselves, preparing for dialogue with the government and the National Assembly.
A task force team of doctors consisting of members of the Korean Medical Association and the Korean Intern and Resident Association said Thursday that the deal was made during a closed-door meeting.
Pundits say they could begin “two-track” negotiation one with the government and the other with lawmakers.
Protesting the government’s medical reform plans, doctors have been calling for a re-negotiation from square one.
