South Korean health authorities have issued back-to-work orders to 278 striking doctors across the country on Saturday.
The KCDC said Saturday that it conducted an on-site inspection into ten training hospitals in the country and sent out executive orders to the almost 280 junior doctors working at emergency rooms.
The Korean Medical Association ended its three-day walkout Friday.
But doctors here in the nation decided to go on an indefinite strike starting September 7thunless the government withdraws its new policies.
Doctors are against a proposed increase to medical school admission quotasas well as opening a public medical school to broaden the reach of the local healthcare services.
