Press Statement 20-001
February 10, 2020
Today, President Donald J. Trump’s Fiscal Year (FY) 2021 budget request for the National Science Foundation (NSF) was presented to Congress. More information on the FY 2021 budget request is available beginning today from the White House Office of Management and Budget. NSF Director France Córdova issued the following statement:
A focus on Industries of the Future is critical to the Nation’s long-term economic and national security. NSF’s Big Ideas will play significant roles in not only advancing artificial intelligence, quantum information science, and other potential industries of the future, but in identifying the yet unknown transformative technologies that will emanate from today’s investments in basic research. The President’s FY 2021 budget request reflects our commitment to support the Administration’s research and development priorities.
