Newly-released figures show more than 30 percent of South Korea’s coronavirus infections in recent months have occurred in places that are poorly ventilated, so the city of Seoul is encouraging people to open their windows and doors more frequently.
The city notes that homes and businesses have their own circumstances to consider but it recommends ventilating for ten minutes every hour.
A recent study from MIT suggests this can reduce the chance of infection by 10 percent.
If there’s no window, it says try opening hallway doors or using a fan.
