President Moon Jae-in says he looks forward to further strengthening South Korea-U.S. alliance with U.S. President-elect Joe Biden.
Seoul’s top office said the South Korean president sent a congratulatory letter to Mr. Biden after the U.S. Electoral College officially confirmed his victory in the presidential election.
In the letter, Moon expressed hope that they could work together to achieve lasting peace and denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula.
Biden won the presidential election with 3-hundred-6 Electoral College votes to President Donald Trump’s 2-hundred-32.
