President Moon Jae-in will be laying out South Korea’s vision for going carbon neutral by 2050 in a nationally televised event later this evening.
Due to take place at the Blue House from 7:35 PM, President Moon will highlight Seoul’s commitment to playing an active role in the international community fighting climate change.
The tie he’ll be wearing, the Blue House says, was made from recycled plastic waste.
President Moon first mentioned the 2050 goal in a speech to parliament in October.
