As the holiday season approaches, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency is conducting an intensive crackdown on drunk driving around entertainment districts.
Not only are car drivers being stopped but also those riding electric kickboards, bicycles, and other two-wheeled vehicles.
The intensive crackdown will continue until the end of January 2021, all over Seoul.
The police urged people to never drive after drinking to protect people’s lives.
Drunk driving has increased by 8.5 percent on-year until the end of October as people have misunderstood there would be no crackdown due to the pandemic.
But the police are using non-contact alcohol detectors to avoid transmissions.
