President Moon Jae-in unveiled on Thursday the key part of his Korean New Deal initiative while visiting the country’s first smart city in Songdo.

We will swiftly push for smart cities nationwide. The government will supply data integrated platforms to 108 localities across the country, enabling 60 percent of the people to experience smart cities.

The government aims to build more smart cities: one in the southeastern port city of Busan next year and another in the administrative capital of Sejong by 2023.
