The South Korean government is launching a campaign to help the tourism industry by promoting safe travel.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism said Wednesday that the campaign will promote 100 tourist destinations that are relatively unknown so that people won’t crowd together at the more famous places.
There will also be another 35 million dollars in loans made available to tourism businesses.
This money is in addition to loans worth around half a billion announced early in the pandemic, more than 90 percent of which has already been disbursed.
