First Lady Kim calls for closer S. Korea-India ties on Ghandi anniversary

First Lady Kim Jung-sook has called for South Korea and India to form closer ties and work together for peace and prosperity in the world.
She was speaking Saturday in an international webinar as part of celebrations for the 150th birthday of Mahatma Ghandi, whose spirit as the father of Indian indepdence she expressed admiration for.
She said that in the pandemic, South Korea and India have reaffirmed their strong ties, in particular, on the basis of “friendship and trust” between their leaders, Moon Jae-in and Narendra Modi.
