N. Korean apology for killing incident a ‘helpful step’: U.S. State Dept. Updated: 2020-09-26 13:38:47 KST

The U.S. State Department also commented on Friday that the North Korean leader Kim Jong-un’s apology is a “helpful step”.
It added that the U.S. fully supports Seoul’s condemnation and demand for a full explanation from Pyeongyang on this matter.
A spokesperson for the U.S. State Department said that the apology and explanation from the North is a helpful step.
They also offered condolences to the family of the deceased.
