The number of new coronavirus cases reported in South Korea has stayed below a hundred for a second straight day.
There were 95 new cases.
Of those, 73 were local infections, and the other 22 were from overseas.
That brings the total to date to 23,611.
There were two more deaths, bringing the total death toll to 401.
Meanwhile, today’s televised briefing will be given by Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun, who’ll be explaining the special disease prevention measures the country is taking for the Chuseok holiday.
The measures will be strictest in the capital area, where 11 types of businesses designated as “high-risk,” like bars, clubs and buffets, will have to close.
Outside the capital there’ll be more closures too.
And nationwide, restaurants will have to make sure they seat customers safely apart from each other.
