South Korea’s unification minister Lee In-young is calling on North Korea to return to talks and restore communication channels with Seoul.
His remarks came this morning during his first visit to the inter-Korean truce village of Panmumjeom.
Lee urged the North to respond and make an effort to swiftly carry out the 2018 Pyeongyang Joint Declaration.
He also suggested holding small reunions of war-separated families at Panmunjeom.
He added that suspended tours to the DMZ could also resume once the pandemic calms down.
