S. Korea reports 631 cases Sunday; gov’t to discuss stricter distancing

The number of coronavirus infections in South Korea continues to surge the country on Sunday reporting 631 new cases, an increase of 48 cases from the previous day’s number.
This is the third highest number of daily cases since the start of the pandemic.
And the number has been in the triple digits for 29 straight days.
The vast majority of Sunday’s cases were in greater Seoul area.
The government will be holding a meeting this afternoon to decide whether to raise the social distancing in the capital region to level 2.5.
At this level, people are advised to stay home if possible and schools will operate at only one-third capacity for in-person classes.
