President Moon Jae-in is continuing his diplomacy with Southeast Asia today taking part in the virtual South Korea-Mekong Summit.
Seoul is looking to deepen its partnership with the region, centered on people, prosperity and peace.
The countries of the Mekong River Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos and Thailand are expected to adopt a joint statement with South Korea following the summit.
This is the second such meeting, following the inaugural session held in Busan last year.
On Thursday, President Moon took part in the South Korea-ASEAN summit where he unveiled his New Southern Policy Plus a plan to step up regional cooperation.
