South Korea will invest more than 8.8 billion U.S. dollars by 2025 to foster smart cities nationwide and create new jobs.

We will swiftly push for smart cities nationwide. The government will supply data integrated platforms to 108 localities across the country, enabling 60 percent of the people to experience smart cities.
The government aims to build more smart cities: one in the southeastern port city of Busan next year and another in the administrative capital of Sejong by 2023.
