Seoul’s finance minister Hong Nam-ki has once again highlighted the importance of fair COVID-19 vaccine distribution as being crucial for economic recovery.
According to the finance ministry on Saturday, Hong said this during the first Finance Ministers and Central Banks Governors Meeting that took place online on Friday.
He said South Korea is reviewing more ways to supply vaccines to developing countries.
Pointing out the recent increase in market volatility, Hong said close global cooperation should be strengthened so that the negative ripple effect does not affect the momentum of economic recovery.
