The South Korean government plans to approve this week a third round of emergency COVID-19 relief.
According to the Ministry of Economy and Finance on Sunday, the relief package will be approved on Wednesday, with payments starting January 11th.
Depending on the nature of their businesses, shop owners will receive up to two,700 US dollars.
Freelancers whose income decreased due to the pandemic will get up to 920 dollars.
The money is expected to help some 5.8 million people affected by the pandemic.
