A cluster infection at Hanyang University Hospital in Seoul has led to 23 infections as of Friday.
The cluster started from a guardian of the patient and has even spread to medical staff.
The hospital has around two-thousand employees and eight-hundred hospital beds.
Other cluster infections are popping up nationwide, including those related to schools ran by the ‘IM’ religious missionary group.
Health authorities have tested 40 facilities in 11 cities and provinces nationwide, and over 350 people from those facilities were confirmed with the virus.
The southwest city of Gwangju, which saw clusters at a church and an IM-related school, has decided to ban all in-person worship at religious facilities starting this Saturday.
Gwangju had allowed worship sessions of up to 20 percent of capacity.
Aside from that, cases have sprouted from a Taekwondo facility in Andong, Gyeongsangbuk-do Province and a chicken processing company in Chungju, Chungcheongbuk-do Province.
Health authorities will make an announcement this Sunday about easing the current social distancing measures.
And as the Lunar New Year holiday is approaching, authorities will also announce the special measures for the holiday season.
