I ask you to put the utmost priority on people’s safety and lives despite the additional cost. I also ask you to monitor the vaccine’s efficacy and its side effects to speed up the vaccination schedule.
During the session, lasting close to an hour, the president was briefed on the situation in and around Seoul, as well as efforts to secure hospital beds for the critically ill and the expansion of testing and tracing.
The government will be setting up some 150 temporary facilities in the greater Seoul area to step up testing for the next three weeks.
It’ll also deploy more personnel to speed up tracking and tracing.
